Problems of domestic violence, gender violence, negative results and preventive mechanisms for violence prevention – these and other issues were discussed during informational meetings of the youth clubs in Tskaltubo – school #4 and school of village Menji (Senaki Municipality), also in Kutaisi – children’s village.
Young people gave interesting examples, spoke about traditions, role of women in Georgian family, reasons of violence, equal society.
In School No1 of Tskaltubo, there was held informational meeting of the youth club on the issue of domestic violence reasons and prevention mechanisms. Discussion of the topic was held in interesting atmosphere, lots of questions were put – especially regarding a problem of prevention and effectiveness of law.
The meeting in school No 2 of Poti, discussed a problem of trafficking, as one of the ways of violence. they spoke about reasons and thought about the ways out.
Especially interesting was meeting in the village Teklati (Senaki Municipality) on the topic of trafficking. As the meeting was held for the first time, participants received information about the fund “Sukhumi”, about youth clubs. Several pupils were chosen, who expressed a will to become a member of the club.
In frames of 16 day campaign against gender violence the members of the club of women voters of Senaki conducted informational meetings on the issue of domestic violence for the participants of upper grades and the teachers of the school No7, also for the teachers of kindergartens of the village Teklati.

At a meeting of the Club of Women Voters of Tskhaltubo question was raised of whitewashing trees near schools in Tskhaltubo municipality. This is necessary for the students' safety. At the meeting there was invited a coordinator, who got acquainted with the situation and promised the members of the club to respond as soon as possible.
At the initiative of the Club moderator, in the curriculum of the school №1 there was implemented a pilot training according to the guide of Professor Ramaz Surmanidze "Fundamentals of the age-sex education of children and adolescents" (the book was published last year with the support of Fund "Sukhumi").
The meeting scheduled a work with political parties, discussed the purpose of signing the memorandum with them.

On February 15 there was held a meeting of the Club of Women-Voters of Kutaisi. It was attended by activists of the club and the new members. And also there was invited a Deputy of Social Services of the City Hall Mamuka Sanikidze. He introduced the attendants to social programs of the 2016 budget and explained the terms of use. It was said that there is a new program this year for the people with problems of hearing. Also, a program that envisages creation of housing fund – of a temporary residence.
Club members noted that they will spread the information to a lot of people know about specific programs.
Several women asked for help in dealing with personal problems. Guest wrote and promised to help.
With the aim of advocating local issues 7 members of the club are invited to a meeting of the Gender Advisory Council, which will discuss the issue of urban transport.
In frames of the project “Active involvement of women in political life of Georgia through democratization of election processes” in Tskaltubo there was created the Club of Voter Women.
During the first meeting the participants received information about project activities, the work of the clubs in other cities. They saw their role in identifying and advocating the problem.
The members of the Club of Voter Women are ready to facilitate the implementation of local gender policy.
