Pakhulani Women Support Center (Tsalenjikha municipality) actively joined the 16-day campaign through the activities of the small project “For a Healthy Generation”.
During these days, visions of young people regarding violence were actively noted, an essay and drawing competition was held, and the masks were distributed to vulnerable groups. Informational meetings with women, workshops with teachers of target schools and parents were also held.

The activities of Kobuleti Women Support Center within the framework of a small project were devoted to a 16-day campaign. The following events were held: an action, online consultations of a lawyer and a psychologist, training for teachers and parents of target kindergartens on the topic of domestic violence and referral ways. In addition, flyers, masks for socially disadvantaged people were distributed, and a street survey was conducted on: how the citizens understand violence. The head of the Gender Equality Council was actively involved in these events. The campaign was publicized in the story of “Adjara” TV.
In November, a psychologist of the Fund "Sukhumi" received 63 phone calls from Kutaisi and regions. She responded to the emotional condition of people, and they received emergency psychological support. Five group distance psychological meetings were organized by the Women Support Centers of Senaki, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Khurcha / Koki (Zugdidi municipality). Married couples and representatives of crisis families continue to receive psychotherapeutic consultation.
According to participants, during the pandemic and the problems caused by the Covid 19, this is very important support.
An active discussion was held during the training on the topic of domestic violence and bullying, which was conducted for the parents of kindergarten children. It was important for the participants to be informed about a fact that the kindergarten was given the responsibility of identifying such facts and responding to them. The main emphasis was placed on the fact that children in a violent environment have damaged psychological condition, and then they are formed either as rapists or as victims. Also, a meeting with the representative of the City Council was held and project activities were discussed. This work took place within the framework of a small project of Kobuleti Women Support Center "Harmonious Environment for Kids".
A meeting with the heads of the regional drug treatment center was held within the framework of a small project of Poti Women Support Center. During a conversation about the dangers of drug addiction and alcoholism, it was noted that these problems concern the whole society, they cause health disease and pose a danger of violence. Experts noted that it is necessary to inform society and carry out preventive measures - with the inclusion and coordinated work of experts, psychiatrists, drug addicts, human rights defenders, clergymen, representatives of the government and non-governmental sectors.
“We will overcome violence and poverty by deed” is a small project of Terjola Women Support Center. One of the main things in the struggle is informing. Therefore, in November, there were online meetings with a conflict expert and a lawyer of the Fund "Sukhumi". The meetings were attended by teachers, students, parents and they discussed topical issues: reaction to the facts of conflict, regulation of conflict situations, bullying. It was noted that the state should introduce appropriate regulations on the facts of bullying. Attention was paid to the importance of the institution of a psychologist. The participants of the meetings received answers to questions that are of particular interest for them.
Two online workshops were held within the framework of the small project “For a Healthy Generation” of Pakhulani Women's Support Center (Tsalenjikha municipality). The workshop was devoted to the topic of bullying, stereotypes that cause conflicts and often turns into violence. It was said that it is necessary to avoid conflicts and live without violence. During the second workshop, the emphasis was placed on the importance of including parents in the educational process in order to create harmonious triangle: student, parent, teacher. It was noted how important it is for the child to have support from the parent when solving problems, as well as the cooperation of parents with teachers. The meeting with the parents was also attended by their children and it was conducted against the background of active discussion.
Within the framework of the project "Nonviolent Environment for the Future Generation", a training was held for kindergarten parents "Domestic violence, ways and mechanisms of response". The format was online, but the work was quite active.
Interesting dynamics were observed in the activities of youth groups created within the framework of the project "Future without bullying". The activists held meetings with primary school students on the negative impact of bullying. Teachers were also included in the meetings.
Despite the difficult situation due to the pandemic, the project activities of the Senaki Support Center are proceeding as planned.
Women Support Centers continue the active work in direction of informing the population - despite the difficult pandemic situation. The mobilization meetings were held in Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Ozurgeti and most of them - in an online format. The resource of the Fund "Sukhumi" specialists - a lawyer and a psychologist - was actively used. They provided important information to the participants. During the meetings, issues for advocacy were identified.
A general meeting of mobilizers was held online, which was attended by mobilizers and moderators of small projects from 11 Women Support Centers. At the beginning, the current work was summarized and the problems related to the epidemiological situation were discussed.
The focus was made on the Campaign of 16 Active Days against gender-based violence. The participants presented their plans, their activities in their municipalities. It was noted that such meetings are important in terms of sharing experiences, especially when working in such a stressful situation.
