Lawyers of the fund “Sukhumi” devoted the meeting in WSCs, held in March, to the law against domestic violence. Local population and IDPs received information regarding law mechanisms of protection. The main stress was made on inclusion of local self-government in the process of violence prevention. Also there were given individual legal consultations on concrete issues.
In January there were held 7 legal, informational-consultation meetings with the IDPs and local population, also 2 individual consultations.
The main issue of the meetings – legal mechanisms of victim protection. Individual consultations were given to beneficiary, who addressed from the asylum of victims from Kutaisi and asked to help giving her the status of victim. There was filled in the questionnaire, which together with other necessary documents was given to the group for defining the status of victim. The work regarding the case will be continued and finished in nearest future.
On August 22 there was held the legal informational and consultative meeting in one of the collective centers of Kutaisi (for the disabled). The meeting was attended by 10 women. They received information on women's rights in the context also gender issues in employment and gender equality on the labor market. After monitoring it was revealed that consultations conducted in last months, were productive and Kutaisi City Hall has made in installation of street lighting their backyard.
On June 13 Legal informational-consultative meeting was held in Kutaisi, collective center of kindergarten. It was attended by women IDPs and local women. They were provided information about rights of children and legal ways of their protection, UN convention for children’s rights. .
In January in Women Support Centers of Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Poti, Senaki and Khurcha (Zugdidi Municipality), legal informational-consultative meetings were held. The meeting participants were presented the consultations of different issues: diverce, alimony, the issues connected with credit, mechanisms of combating domestic violence and its prevention, purchasing immovable property and its registration, changes in the law in social direction.
Domestic violence, the mechanisms provided for by law - these issues were mainly addressed at legal information and consultation meetings organized by the mobilizers of the Women Support Centers of fund “Sukhumi”. In Khoni, the meeting was attended by employees of the administration of the municipality. In the village of Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) the meeting was held with teachers and villagers. In the Women Support Centers of Tskaltubo, Senaki and Poti, along with other topics, there was discussed the topic of trafficking. In Kutaisi, a woman of a risk group was identified.
Participants of the meetings actively joined the discussions, received answers to their questions, and some of them - individual consultations.
Kutaisi, Khoni, Senaki, Poti, Tskaltubo, Khurcha (Zugdidi municipality) are the places where legal information and consultation meetings were held. The meetings talked about the problem of domestic violence and violence against women, the legal side of the problem, support and protection issues. In addition, the participants got acquainted with the package of adopted changes related to the Istanbul Convention. At individual meetings, other issues were considered: property rights and duties, divorce.

Traditionally in September there were carried out informational-consultative meetings in Women's Support Centres of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Khurcha (Zugdidi Municipality).
The meetings raised many important issues - domestic violence, family conflicts and their causes, the solution of the problem through mediation, the divorce procedure.
Various cases were discussed. In Kutaisi and Khoni the problems raised at the previous meetings were solved. A consultation was held in Senaki for the victim, and with the help of a lawyer there was issued the protective order.
