В Тержольском муниципалитете прошли встречи с организациями гражданского общества: Ассоциация инвалидов и Союз защиты прав детей и гражданского воспитания «Дети – будущее Грузии».
Обе встречи были плодотворными, т.к. разговор коснулся будущих планов, рабочих групп - участников мониторинга, меморандума. Хорошую оценку получил тренинг, проведенный в ноябре для представителей организаций гражданского общества: «Тренинг был интересным, динамичным, совершенным, все информации являются нужными и практическими».
В ближайшее время запланирована встреча с мэром Тержолы – с целью ознакомления проекта.

On December 11, a monthly meeting was organized by the “Fund of Women Entrepreneurs” within the framework of the project “Guria, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi General Forum of Civil Society Organizations for Roadmap Monitoring (PAR)” in Tsageri municipality. The meeting was held with the partner organizations "Center for Women's Rights and Gender Equality" and “Active Citizen-Accountable Authority”. Received information during the trainings, as well as draft regulations and memorandum of understanding, were the issues discussed at the meeting. The organizations were given the consultations in frames of the project.

Coordination meeting with participation of representatives from regional administration, various services of the City Halls of 12 municipalities of Imereti and members of the Gender Advisory Councils was held in regional administration of Imereti.
The meeting discussed the work of the Gender Equality Councils of the municipality for introduction of gender policy, prevention of violence against women/domestic violence and protection to the victim. Representatives of the municipalities spoke about achievements and challenges. Particular attention was paid to the role of the regional administration in coordinating activities of the Gender Councils. It was noted that the administration of the state attorney should become a bridge that will ensure active communication between local and central authorities, as well as facilitate meetings of municipal Gender Councils and the exchange of information between them.
A meeting with participation of civil society organizations - Khoni Women’s Club and Khoni IDP Initiative Group, was held in Khoni municipality
The participants heard feedback from a November training. They noted that they learned a lot during the training on the topic: Public Administration Reform (PAR) roadmap and citizens’ involvement in PAR roadmap monitoring.
During the meeting there was held a discussion about a regulation that should be adopted at the next meeting. Working groups, memorandums and future plans were discussed.

On December 12, a regular meeting of the project partners was held at the office of Fund “Sukhumi”.
Chairpersons of the partner organizations signed the developed Regulations of the “Common CSO Forum”, and discussed the draft mechanism for PAR Roadmap monitoring.

The representatives of the Fund “Sukhumi” met the medical staff in Tkibuli municipality. The initiator of the meeting was Tkibuli Gender Equality Council, which, working productively with the Fund “Sukhumi”, is trying to implement an effective gender policy.
The meeting showed a high motivation of the medical personnel in identification of cases of violence against women / domestic violence and greater participation in multidisciplinary cooperation.

On the initiative of the Fund “Sukhumi”, the local medical staff and representatives of the Gender Equality Council gathered in the meeting hall of Tskaltubo Muicipality. The meeting participants got familiar with the publications presented by the Fund “Sukhumi” and the results of the research. They heard explanations from the lawyer about the obligations envisaged by the law regarding the response to the facts of violence against women / domestic violence. The discussions highlighted interesting initiatives for future cooperation, and the Gender Equality Council plans to increase the participation of medical staff in violence prevention and other local activities.
The EU has started a new cycle with an updated list of priorities on a global scale and on solution of regional problems. The role of six countries of the Eastern Partnership was also revised. The main problems are: widespread corruption, lack of rule of law, poor economic condition, the issues of security and visibility. These and other issues will be discussed at the 11 th Annual Assembly of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF), the member of which is Alla Gamakharia – the representative of the Fund “Sukhumi”. The forum takes place in Brussels, Belgium on December 4-6.
On 22nd November, the first CSO Forum meeting and the training on Public Administration Reform (PAR) roadmap and citizens’ involvement in PAR roadmap monitoring was held at the Public Defender’s Kutaisi Regional Office for the representatives of sixteen CSOs - Forum members from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi.
44 participants of the CSO Forum got an overview about the main goals, objectives and activities of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”, the PAR and the roadmap and their role in the PAR roadmap monitoring.
All CSO Forum members are eager to cooperate within the frames of the project and make their input into the PAR roadmap monitoring to improve the Reform’s implementation at local level.
Project director Alla Gamakharia summed up the first Forum meeting and training:
"Today was a very important first step for the project. We brought together different CSOs from our project regions. The general feedback was that our Forum members are now aware of the importance of the PAR for their own work, but also for society as a whole. We are looking forward to the following trainings and project activities in our 8 project municipalities.”
