Mass - media. This category gives information about meetings with representatives of media, TV and Radio programs and articles prepared in frames of the projects of the Fund "Sukhumi".
The 10-th issue of the informational bulletin was published. It summarizes the activities, conducted during the month in the project: “Strengthening of women’s rights in Western georgia”.
The issue tells about successful results and the work of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Khurcha/Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) Women Support Centers.
According to bulletin, there were held 82 activities in October. 995 people participated in them.

On December 14, studio of the TV “Guria” hosted the members of Ozurgeti GAC, who spoke about results of council activities and shared quite ambitious future plans to the audience.
As the guests of the show mentioned, they are too optimistic as they have a hope of support from the side of local government and also they actively look for the new resources for satisfying local gender needs. There were revealed most prior issues – protection from domestic violence and creation of social infrastructure for stable professional integration.

The program in radio “Rioni” – was summarizing the results of the project of the fund “Sukhumi” – “Changing of the Local Government policy Towards Gender Budgeting”. In the studio “Dialogue” there were invited: coordinator of the project, member of Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council, Methodist of the kindergartens and journalist of TV Company “Rioni”.
During the show there was held a conversation regarding activities in frames of the project, about the work in kindergartens, collaboration with local self-government and future prospects.
It was mentioned the positive impact of the project on its participants and gender policy of the city. There were revealed initiatives of Kutaisi GAC, which are prepared for submission in Sakrebulo and will be envisaged in 2016 budget.

In broadcast of TV "Egrisi" (Senaki) TV program was aired, which deals with the problem of violence against women, its social scope and danger. This is a vital topic for Senaki, although it is still considered to be its private problem.
How do the members of the Gender Advisory Council of Senaki, members of the society, members of the Municipalities respond to the initiative of the President of the country - to declare 2015 the year of women - the story shows a picture and prospects in direction of greater social protection for women, preventive measures of protection from domestic violence.

Informational story in TV “Rioni”, aired on July 15, familiarized the audience with the topics of ordinary meeting of Kutaisi GAC. The members of GAC discussed results of needs research and on the basis of elaborated conclusions, began to work on package of proposals and recommendations for submission to the self-government.
Chairperson of the GAC announced most practical issues, which were raised by the group of research, answer the citizens’ needs and are in competence of local government - installation of signposts at the stops, creating informative and entertaining center for the elderly and etc.
Representatives of the fund “Sukhumi” talked about the aims of research. It was mentioned that the work revealed needs of women, youth, socially unprotected and disabled persons. Members of the GAC have a hope that most important issues will be chosen and submitted to the self-government for envisaging them in 2016 budget.

Journalists of TV company ”Rioni” prepared a story about the training for future trainers, organized by the Fund “Sukhumi” on the topic of conflict prevention.
In this small but important project, young people from 8 municipalities of Western Georgia are involved (Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskhaltubo, Senaki, Poti, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti, Batumi).
In the story the participants of the training share their impressions, talk about their expectations and prospects of work.

The 17-th meeting of Senaki GAC heard information regarding research of gender needs.
The research was conducted in May. More than 200 people were inquired. As a result of analysis of materials the GAC members will elaborate recommendations and submit to the local Sakrebulo, in order to envisage identified needs in the budget of the next year.

“Gender news” in Radio “Freedom” Batumi agency tells about and event of Batumi GAC and the fund “Sukhumi” – round table “Dialogue of generations – for gender and harmonic society”. The participants share opinions about importance of communication between generations.
What is gender education, why is so important to share experience and appreciation of young peoples interests, how shall we use Batumi intellectual experience and how must be built cooperation for creation of methodology guidelines for educational premises. What recommendations were announced from the side of youth, specialists, teachers, what projects will be submitted by the GAC for the support of informal education of the youth – these are the main issues the story tells about.

In the air of Radio “Freedom” showed a story, which tells about youth project of Batumi Gender Advisory Council (GAC).
The story underlines actuality of the issue: initiating public discussion – establishment of non-violent consciousness and ruining stereotypes, ensuring healthy communications, which is envisaged by the project, answers the challenges, existing in society.
Necessity of gender educational work with young people was mentioned by the members of Ozurgeti GAC, who attended the meeting in Batumi.
How should be the GAC involved in solution of problematic issues of society, what strategy should be defined for collaboration with self-government – members of Batumi and Ozurgeti GACs speak about these issues in the program.

What do Georgian politicians and experts, representatives of public sector think about quoting by the gender side, what legislative regulations are essential for solution of this issue. The story in TV “Rioni” refers to this issue and shares international experience.
As the representatives of Kutaisi Gender Advisory council mention, the effective will be to make a step from words to the action. There was an interesting fact in Georgia in this direction – a women became a head of one of the most important structure – Ministry of defense. This issue is positively evaluated from the side of not only her team members, but also opposition, politologists, civil sector representatives.
It is noticeable that only men were chosen as respondents.
