In May, interesting work was going on in all six courses (Georgian language, English, acting, photography and videography, polymer clay modeling, embroidery).

A new group of photo and video shoots was completed at the end of May. In May, a new modeling group started training. Children are very talented and have unusual vision, imagination, and skills. Maxim Belov, for example, creates incredible characters that he invents himself.

Participants in Georgian and English language courses are gradually improving their results. They read well, pronounce specific sounds, make sentences, and conduct dialogues.

In May, the psychologist also worked actively, according to plan. Conversations were held with children on the following topics: predicting feelings, managing emotions, empathy, etc. 9 group and 10 individual meetings were held.

The main thing that the project serves is a friendly atmosphere that can be felt in all courses. Children help each other, worry when someone is sick....

On May 26, all children participated in an event dedicated to the Day of Independence of  Georgia. They presented their works made during the modeling and embroidery courses, as well as their drawings. And participants in acting art courses read poetry in Georgian.

The members of Khoni Youth Club started the implementation of the project "Salon Conversations", which was financed within the framework of the USAID grant competition. The meeting with the members of the club was held in the third public school of Khoni. Young people worked on the details of the project. Planned activities were discussed, deadlines for their implementation were determined and responsibilities were distributed.

The representatives of the first group once again reviewed the conclusions and recommendations of the " Assessment of the Human Security Quality" and selected problems for advocacy. They plan to solve them in cooperation with the local authorities. 

Training was conducted with the second group. The participants got acquainted with the state services for the victims of violence and received answers to the questions from a competent person.

  Tskaltubo youth group actively works in the area of peace. Mini-projects implemented by young people are quite diverse. Information meetings, quizzes, exhibition of paintings, conferences, meetings are part of project activities. The whole group is involved in the implementation of the project, the projects will be implemented until June 15, and their goal is to introduce a culture of peace in the society.

  The women's group of Tskaltubo works on the recommendations identified as a result of the research. Members discussed several issues. They will work on the advocacy plan from the next month.

  Another meeting was held with the members of the women initiative group of the village Pakhulani - Tsalenjikha municipality. The participants talked about the problems identified as a result of the conducted research. According to them, unemployment, low wages, and unstable environment remain the challenges.

The members of the group noted that increasing awareness about state programs, revealing the needs of citizens, availability of consulting services is an important factor in the process of problem solution.

They discussed the high rate of migration and the accompanying social results. They talked about the deteriorating psycho-emotional background of adolescents. At the end of the meeting, a list of issues was made, which will be advocated in the near future.

Members of Senaki youth group work on a mini-project in the direction of peace. The project aims to popularize the issue of peace. Training was held with the members of the same group on the topic: "Media literacy and disinformation". The acquired knowledge will help the participants to distinguish true and false information. The members of Senaki women's group analyzed the recommendations highlighted as a result of the research and talked about the problems that they will try to advocate in the coming months.

 The members of the youth initiative group of the village Koki - Zugdidi municipality held a meeting where they evaluated the activities carried out within the framework of the mini-project. The goal of the project is to promote peace through the involvement of young people, raise awareness and their active participation in the process of regulating Georgian-Abkhazian relations. In this regard, the initiative group has planned a lot of interesting activities.

Another meeting was held with the women initiative group. The conversation concerned the challenges that were highlighted in the process of the research: "Evaluation of the quality of human security of the population". During the meeting, it was noted that the awareness of the population about state services will significantly increase the activity of citizens, which is the most important for their economic empowerment. Priority issues were named, that will be permanently advocated by the women initiative group.

Members of the youth group of the village Koki - Zugdidi municipality work on a new project - "We will find a way to each other's hearts!"  

The goal of the project is to support peace through art and youth activities, to raise civic awareness among young people and to actively involve them in the establishment of Georgian-Abkhazian relations.    The members of the group spoke to the schoolchildren about the project activities, announced an essay and drawing competition.

 

     The members of the youth initiative group of the village Didinedze - Zugdidi municipality worked on the project: "Hello Abkhazia!". During the meeting, they discussed the activities planned within the project and distributed the responsibilities.    

    The members of the women initiative group started working on the advocacy of the issues identified as a result of the research. It was noted that unemployment, inflation, high prices for food products and medicines, as well as migration and credit loans in the bank, remain a challenge for the local population.

The survey process has been actively launched among members of the Women's mutual assistance group; the survey will identify, women who want to start their own small business. The Women Fund “Sukhumi” will support the following directions: sewing and art, poultry farming, cooking, and cleaning services.

As a result of the survey, five women living in the target municipalities will receive small grants and will be able to purchase appropriate tools and equipment. Women's work will raise the self-esteem of each of them and empower their families.

Psychologist Manana Gotsiridze conducted rehabilitation sessions mainly online: 9 phone calls and 12 meetings on Internet platforms.

The work also took place in the office of the Women Fund “Sukhumi” - 10 psychotherapeutic consultations were held.

All beneficiaries received appropriate competent assistance, necessary information and advice. They were able to focus on the positive moments.

The psychologist actively worked in the rehabilitation center of the Fund “Sukhumi”, with three women and two children. Before leaving, one of them said: “I didn’t want to come here, but now I’m very happy. The center staff created a pleasant, warm family environment for us. A psychologist, a social worker, and a lawyer worked with us. My love for life, faith and joy returned to me. Thank you very much!"
