Gogolesubani is a small village in Chokhatauri municipality. At the request of local women, our organization organized sewing courses and invited Nana Gogoladze, who lives in the same village, as a teacher. The women completed the two-month basic course with great enthusiasm. All of them are happy with the knowledge they received and are asking for more courses.

At the last lesson, an exhibition of works was organized and they were awarded certificates.

A two-month full basic course in nail care has been completed at the Women Fund “Sukhumi”. The participants were awarded certificates. The main goal of the training is a real prospect of economic empowerment for women by mastering a new profession.

Despite the fact that the Day Rehabilitation Center has experience in such training, the master class of the Ukrainian trainer was still the best exception. The graduates noted:

A new training course has started for the women from Terjola - practical work is held at the aesthetic center “Sofiana” under the guidance of its founder, cosmetologist Sophia Bandzeladze.

Beneficiaries of the day rehabilitation center will study classical cosmetology, face skin types, associated diseases, care, cleansing, mezotherapy, chemical peeling and face massage.

According to the experience of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”, this training course will give Terjola women a new professional skill that they can turn into an own business.

Training course for another group has completed at the Kutaisi Day Rehabilitation Center. Women learned the secret of mastering polymer clay and received certificates.

A group of women from Kutaisi passed training in various directions: working with polymer clay, cutting and sewing, manicure, and making souvenirs from colored epoxy. Then trainings were held for them, during which associate professor of Kutaisi State University Elguja Deisadze taught the participants to form business ideas, rank them and present project proposals.

The third and final stage of the small grants program was the final competition, in which beneficiaries won with their business proposals and received grants for their independent activities.

Various professional courses were held at Terjola Women Support Center. Then the beneficiaries underwent special training, where they learned to formulate business ideas and present project proposals.

The next stage was the final competition of business projects. As part of the small grants program, the winner beneficiaries were provided with the necessary equipment for business. They can already start working independently and improve their financial situation.

Despite the short working month, Manana Gotsiridze, a psychologist of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”, had an active January. She held a group meeting with women from the village Khurcha (Zugdidi municipality). In addition, 12 individual online consultations were conducted in the regions and 13 individual psychotherapeutic sessions in Kutaisi. The psychologist answered 8 phone calls and helped the beneficiaries to combate emotional stress.

A psychologist worked every day in our rehabilitation center, where women victims and their children stayed for two weeks. There was also a lawyer, a social worker and a teacher who spent interesting and educational hours with the children.

One of the beneficiaries noted: “I feel so good here that I don’t want to leave. I’m glad that now I know more, I’m more informed and I have more motivation to solve my problems... Thank you very much - for 34 years these have been the brightest, warmest and most pleasant days for me.”
