12 psychological group meetings and individual consultations – this is statistics of November according the places of IDP compact resettlement in Kutaisi.

Levels and periods of relationships, the conditions of happy relationships for prevention of domestic violence – during the meetings women discussed these issues.

- It's all about the woman - said the psychologist. - Instead of looking around and searching the man of her dreams, you must first focus on yourself, and correct something your outlook and way of life.

Training for the members of youth clubs

28 members of the youth club of the fund “Sukhumi” from 6 regions – for them in Kutaisi there was held the first phase of the training for trainers on – gender and gender violence.

The work was held in two groups. There was a great interest to the topics, individual and group activities, film screening, conversation about traditions and stereotypes.

During the feedback it turned out that the young people raised awareness in the issue of gender and they expressed a desire to become trainers.

The chance to show themselves already exists. In the days campaign they will conduct informational meetings in schools. For most of them it is the first experience and share in the process of violence prevention.

For the active participants of trainings there will be held the second round.

The campaign of 16 active days against gender violence started

The annual international informational campaign "16 active days against violence towards the women" Started.

In recent years, the campaign is carried out with the slogan "From peace in the home - to peace in the world."

This year fund "Sukhumi" has a face of campaign - the winner of Georgia Super League 2015-2016 - basketball club "Kutaisi - 2010". Hundreds of leaflets, calendars were printed.

Fund "Sukhumi" - 6 Women's Support Centers, 8 Club of Women-Voters, 3 Gender Advisory Councils, 6 youth clubs, forum-theater – will conduct hundreds of events in towns and villages of West Georgia in frames of 16 day campaign.

Action against violence in Ozurgeti

The action against gender violence was joined by Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council and the Club of Women Voters. They organized peaceful action in front of the City Hall, which was joined by the representatives of local self-government, young people. The Mayor of the city expressed readiness of the government in prevention of the problem.

The action was aired by the local TV.

16 day campaign in Tskaltubo started with the action

16 day campaign in Tskaltubo opened with the action. Feel Responsibility – Stop Violence! Women has the right to live without violence! Similar slogans were fixed by the people, who gathered in front of the sports palace. They expressed protest against violence towards the women. The action was participated by representatives of local self-government, activists of the Women Support Center and the Club of Women voters.
