Office computer programs, preparation of presentations, working on the Internet, searching for information, qualified work with e-mail - these questions were studied by one group of women in the Day Center of the Fund "Sukhumi".

At the end of the courses, the participants noted that this was a practical and necessary work that would help them in employment. This is one of the goals of the courses.

The tasting of assorted pickles was held in a joyful and open atmosphere. This activity was highly appreciated by the project participants and guests. This was the wrap-up event of the cooking and table setting course. The course was attended by beneficiaries selected by a special commission. The course was carried out within the framework of a small project of Terjola Women Support Center "We are fighting against violence and poverty by deeds". Upon completion of the course, it is planned to work on how to use the knowledge gained for self-realization.

Information meeting with Tsageri medical staff

Family doctors, ambulance doctors, medical staff of polyclinics and rural clinics gathered at an information meeting at the Medical Clinic of Tsageri Municipality.

They talked about topical issues: the law on the elimination of violence against women / domestic violence, about referral mechanisms and specifically about the role of the medical personnel in terms of victim identification and assistance. There was also a presentation of a publication published on these issues specifically for the medical staff. The participants of the meeting expressed their views and readiness to become more actively involved in the prevention process.

What are the results of small projects implemented though the sub-granting scheme by local CSOs in 8 target municipalities? What challenges arose as a result of the work? Which activities, planned by the project, contributed to the successful implementation of Public Administration Reform in Imereti, Guria and Racha-Lechkhumi regions? The guests of the TV program talked about these issues on TV “Rioni”.

The TV appearance was prepared within the framework of the project: A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR roadmap monitoring.

The project is implemented by the Fund “Sukhumi” in partnership with Imereti Scientists’ Union “Spectri” and the Fund of Women Entrepreneurs.

A quick survey on a hot topic

“Responding to the challenges caused by the post-Covid virus and studying the level of gender sensitivity” - the Fund “Sukhumi” is conducting a quick survey on this issue.

Up to 500 people have already been interviewed using questionnaires and focus groups in the target municipalities. Among the beneficiaries there are also people who live in Abkhazia. The survey process will be completed at the end of October, and an analysis will be prepared based on the received data - this will give possibility, to identify the problems and needs caused by the Covid pandemic in a gender perspective.
