"Assessment of the quality of human security and gender needs of the population in Zugdidi Municipality" - the members of Didinedze women's initiative group conducted a research on this topic. The scenes of the forum theater and the idea of the project, which should be presented to the competition commission, are already started by the members of the youth club. The director of the Fund "Sukhumi", Magda Chikhladze, conducted a master class for them.
The Department of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) organized an information meeting with the participation of local governmental and non-governmental organizations. Together with many other issues, the meeting discussed the services offered to Ukrainians and their rights.
Since April 2022, the Women Fund "Sukhumi" is actively working to provide humanitarian assistance and other necessary services to Ukrainian refugees in Western Georgia.

The women initiative group of the village Pakhulani -Tsalenjikha municipality conducted a research on the topic: "Evaluation of the quality of human security and gender needs of the population in Tsalenjikha municipality". The results are already known. Based on the research, actual problems were identified.
The women initiative group of the village Koki - Zugdidi municipality worked on the research "Assessment of the quality of human security and gender needs of the population in Zugdidi municipality". Based on the results, the members pointed out current problems in their community. As a result, they will continue to work in the direction of advocacy. The members of the youth club of the village Koki also work on project ideas. They already have a specific goal and planned activities. Young people are actively involved in forum-theatre. Magda Chikhladze, the director of the Fund "Sukhumi", visited them and held a master class.
The guests heard information about the activities of the Fund and got acquainted with the main activities carried out within the framework of the project through a presentation. They also discussed the results of the activities planned in Abkhazia and Ossetia and the current challenges. In the second part of the meeting, the young actors of the Fund “Sukhumi” forum-theater presented the performances on various topics. On the same day, the guests visited the partner organization. The representatives of "Peaceful and Business Caucasus" talked about the importance of the project implemented with the support of USAID.
Another meeting was held with Zugdidi Women Initiative Group. The members of the group got acquainted with the tasks developed at the civil forum and discussed the activities, the implementation of which will contribute to the localization of 1325 UN Resolution at the local level.
In addition, they watched a story about the work of the women's network. The group members, together with the project assistant, also worked on the future plan.

Fund “Sukhumi” is an organization that knows the value of peace and the face of war. People who work here are able to empathize, sympathize, understand our pain and needs, our traumas, tragedies. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for kindness, empathy and free psychological support,” these are the words of one participant of psycho-rehabilitation meetings held by psychologists of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”.
Manana Gotsiridze and Ukrainian psychologists Marina Stepanenko and Anna Shalimova worked with Ukrainian refugees in March.
Primary consultations, courses of psychotherapy were held. Some individual consultations were final, and they summed up the joint work of the client and the psychologist.
Ukrainian psychologists also held a group meeting on the topic "How to identify violence".
Psychologists give clients information that they can use in life to further support themselves.

The war in Ukraine further aggravated illness of Polina Minulina. From the day of arrival, our organization has helped a cancer patient in communication with doctors and in paying the required amount for a course of medical treatment. She was grateful, but unfortunately she died in March. The family faced an even bigger problem, and the Women Fund “Sukhumi” helped to pay for the cremation.
This is one example of our support.
Our information database contains the names and surnames of 470 refugees from Ukraine. This means that kindness of the Fund "Sukhumi" has reached everyone.
In March, 35 families received assistance (food, hygiene products) - 78 people. We paid utility bills for 6 families.
Ukrainians also actively participated in several events held in March.
During the meeting held on March 1,the members of Kutaisi women initiative group received information about the International Women's Solidarity Day. They discussed why women's solidarity is necessary, and also saw a short film about women leaders. At the end of the meeting, the problems and shortcomings identified during the qualitative research were discussed. On March 20, during another meeting held with the members of Kutaisi Youth Club, participants worked on the topic of the Forum Theater - bullying. They drew up a scenario according to which the forum theater performance was staged.
