Trainer Rusudan Karkadze conducted a training session on the topic of misinformation for young people from Kutaisi, Tskaltubo and Zugdidi, in the office of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”.
The following issues were discussed: media literacy, digital instruments, misinformation, cyber-bullying. Participants acquired practical skills in distinguishing fake information from real one, various specific methods of combating misinformation and how to use them in everyday life. They got acquainted with various web pages and worked on an interesting online test to better understand the essence of misinformation.
The training participants filled out questionnaires on the basis of which they will be selected for involvement in peacekeeping activities.
The methodological manual "Introduction of Peace, Tolerance and Non-violent Culture" was published. It is guide and assistant for young people on the way of their active involvement in building a tolerant, peaceful and non-violent society.
The publication includes following topics: tolerance, gender, gender stereotypes, gender equality, leadership and team building, conflict management, youth activism and participation, forum - theater.
These topics will help to raise the sense of initiative in youth, individually or collectively and to develop civic activism to introduce positive changes in their communities.
These guys - girls and boys - are the peace ambassadors!
They organized a cleaning action in Kutaisi ... in addition, they prepared a forum - theater performance on the topic of ecology...
The idea appeared as a result of participation in the project. The title of the project is “Young Peace Ambassadors - for the support of peace, tolerance and non-violent culture”.
Together with the Fund "Sukhumi", the action was attended by the representatives of Imereti Scientists’s Union "Spectri" and "Special services" of Kutaisi.
The initiative of the Young Peace Ambassadors is a motivation for the activity of peers.
The youth spirit was felt that day in the office of the Fund "Sukhumi". Students of the upper-grades from Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Tsalenjikha municipalities took part in the training “Conflict Management, Positive Communication, Tolerance, Empathy, Leadership, Civil Activism”.
Young people liked the comfortable atmosphere, topics, relationships between the participants, they boldly played roles during various activities.

Elene Shengelia (school of the village Koki, Zugdidi municipality): - The training strengthened the roots of non-formal education in me ... My knowledge and the knowledge gained during the training supplemented each other and created a strong chain.
On 11 March, the EUMM Mtskheta Regional Office on Human Security has organized an information-sharing meeting dedicated to women’s leadership in conflict-affected communities and in local governments, the importance of their activism, challenges, and opportunities for their participation in the decision-making process. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the EUMM, as well as other international organizations accredited in Georgia and civil society organizations.
Ekaterine Gamakharia, the representative of Fund “Sukhumi” Tbilisi office highlighted the challenges and barriers that hinder women’s meaningful participation in the decision-making process and the obstacles that prevent IDP and conflict-affected to be engaged in advocacy of their own concerns. She emphasized the need to empower IDPs and conflict-affected women especially those living close to the conflict dividing line, to raise their awareness, build their capacity and develop a strong civil society in the field. She has also drawn attention to the importance of active communication, exchange of information, and cooperation between international organizations, civil society organizations, and community leaders.
