In frames of the small project of Khurcha / Koki Women Support Center (Zugdidi Municipality) a round table was held on: "Violence against women and preventive steps" in the village Orsantia. There was a discussion about the impact of violence and mentality on the psychoemotional condition of children and adolescents. There was talk about victim support programs.

This is one of the activities of Khurcha / Koki Women's Support Center project: "Say no to violence - be active!"

With participation of the Fund “Sukhumi”, the ultra-profile clinic “Unicalmed” and the initiative group of IDPs, a free medical event was held in Khoni on March 31. Mayor of Khoni Lado Jurkhadze met the participants of the action and the founders of "Unicalmed". Dozens of people received medical service - consultations and echoscopic examinations.

On March 28-30, a training on: "Project writing and design" was held in the office of the Fund "Sukhumi". Representatives of the City Halls of Terjola, Khoni and Tskaltubo municipalities, as well as mobilizers of the Women's Support Centers of Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Tskaltubo took part in it. The training was organized by the Fund "Sukhumi" with the self-financing of the Terzola, Khoni and Tskaltubo City Halls. At the end of the three-day work each participant developed an individual project. The knowledge gained at the training will help participants to attract additional funds for the implementation of projects.

The joint project of Tskaltub Women Support Center of the Fund "Sukhumi" and the Council for Gender Equality of Tskaltub Municipality is ongoing, the aim of the project is to promote a healthy climate in the family and preschool institutions.

On March 31 the second planned training for managers and teachers of kindergartens of Gvishtibi, Partkhanakanevi, Mukhiani, Kopitnari, Meskheti and Maglaki villages of Tskhaltubo municipality was held. They received the necessary information about gender issues, prevention of violence, bullying.

The lawyers of the Fund "Sukhumi" held 6 individual consultations in March. The main topics of consultations were domestic violence and family conflicts. Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Senaki and Kutaisi Women Support Centers also addressed for consultation.

One case is of particular importance. The victim of violence was assisted in assigning the status of a victim, and she will use it in the court.

Mobilizers of the fund “Sukhumi” are actively involved in the life of municipality. During month, they attended the meetings, got acquainted with the innovations of the municipality, and then introduced them to the beneficiaries of the Women Support Center. They held information meetings in 9 cities (Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Terjola, Senaki, Poti, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti and Lanchkhuti), with representatives of local self-government and talked about the services and activities of the center.

In frames of the small project of the Senaki Women Support Center, information meetings was held in the village Teklati - with medical staff, the school director and teachers. Aim and activities of the project were explained to participants. During the meetings, special attention was paid to the problem of violence against women, domestic violence and the role of each of us in the prevention process.

27 informational meetings were held by the mobilizers of women support centers in the municipalities of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Terjola, Senaki, Poti, Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Zugdidi in IDP settlements, villages and towns. The topics of the meetings were: gender equality, women's rights and domestic violence. Information meetings were devoted to the Women Solidarity Week.

The Women Support Center of Tskaltubo, in partnership with the Gender Equality Council of the municipality, is implementing a project aimed at creating a harmonious environment for children. The first training was conducted for representatives of the association of kindergartens, managers and educators. Participants received important information about gender issues in terms of working with pupils of pre-school institutions. Three more trainings are planned in frames of the project.

Poti Women Support Center implements a small project that promotes to the popularization of a healthy lifestyle among young people. In frames of the project, meetings were held with the directors of schools No. 7 and No. 21, as well as with the management of the education resource center. In addition, an information meeting was held by pupils of school No 21. The topic  of the meetings was : - Harmful habits and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
