Terjola Women's Day Center successfully completed a course of cutting and sewing. The Mayor of the municipality, Manuchar Robakidze, and the deputy chairman of the City Council, David Gogberashvili, came to congratulate our talented beneficiaries. From the very beginning, they supported the good initiative of the Women Fund “Sukhumi” and helped to conduct training in a comfortable space.
The beneficiaries presented their works. They were awarded with certificates. There was gratitude and happiness. Along with the new profession, the beneficiaries found each other as friends and supporters. They have new wishes and goals.

September started with summarization of the results of a six-month training course at the Youth Empowerment Centers. Meetings were held with the youth of Terjola, Samtredia, Kobuleti, Khobi and Senaki municipalities. The meetings were attended by teachers, parents, representatives of educational resource centers, youth services and members of the Gender Equality Council.
Group leaders showed interesting presentations. The young people spoke about the work carried out during five months, the results, changes, impact and importance of the project.
Five more final meetings will be held in September. At the same time, new groups are being formed.

An informational meeting was held with members of Zugdidi Women Initiative Group. During the meeting the participants discussed the situation regarding the advocacy of individual problems. The group leader familiarized the participants with the letters that were sent to the City Hall and read announced the received responses. The process is active, but there are issues that require additional effort. The meeting participants also received information about planned activities.

In September, Members of Tskaltubo Women Initiative Group met again to identify and advocate their problems. During the meeting, successful cases were discussed and it was noted how important the theoretical knowledge acquired during the work is for practical activities.
During the meeting they talked about the main problems of the IDP settlement. New issues were identified: creation of a recreational area in the community, installation of speed bumps for traffic safety. An action plan for timely resolution of problems was outlined. A “one-stop shop” meeting was planned to be held in October for effective advocacy.

The ordinary meeting was attended by members of Kutaisi Women Initiative Group, as well as residents of the IDP settlement “cottages”.
According to the agenda, they discussed identified problems related to the arrangement of drainage canals, a sports ground, the problem of the roof in the settlement of Nikea Street, and the necessity to form a “homeowners’ association” in Choma settlement.
The group members decided to find a lobbyist to speed up the problem solution that concern people living in the IDP settlement of Kutaisi municipality.

Psychologist Manana Gotsiridze met 17 members of 5 families who came to Georgia from Ukraine because of the war. Our organization assisted them not only with necessary products, but also with solution of their psychological problems. The psychologist started to work with trauma, with stress... According to the Ukrainians, such support is especially necessary for people who experienced the war, regardless of their age.

Independence Day of Ukraine in Tbilisi was celebrated with a march with participation of Ukrainians. The national anthem of Ukraine was played on the city streets, and the participants held a symbolic flag of 32 meters long in their hands, because Independent Ukraine is 32 years old.
The main day of Ukraine was also celebrated in Kutaisi. Our organization included Ukrainian beneficiaries in the action of solidarity organized by our fellow citizens. The event was held on the White Bridge.
For the second time Ukraine and Ukrainians living in different countries celebrate Independence Day in conditions of war with Russia expressing great love towards their country, with desire and hope to return home.

Local referral entities: members of the Gender Equality Council of the City Council, representatives of local government, police, social, educational and medical spheres, attended the round table discussion in the conference hall of Samtredia municipality.
During the meeting the participants talked about the problem of domestic violence, the importance victim assistance and cooperation with local structures.
The meeting participants were provided with information about the report “Assessment of Effectiveness of the Municipalities’ Preventive Measures to Combat Violence Against Women/Domestic Violence” based on the monitoring results of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”.
The invited lawyer made a presentation on the draft of referral document, focusing on ways of referencing and cooperation between agencies that will contribute to the prevention of violence.

The members of the women initiative group of the village Pakhulani - Tsalenjikha Municipality discussed the issue of advocacy along with summarizing the year and setting future plans. According to the advocacy plan, September activities were scheduled.
Our representative, Linda Chikhladze, was invited to the professional day meeting of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-Custodial Sentences, and Probation. During the meeting, the Minister - Rati Bregadze, the Deputy - Buba Lomuashvili, and the head of the agency, Lado Kheladze, summarized the results of their activities and discussed the priorities and main directions for the agency's development. These include the introduction of technological innovations, strengthening crime prevention measures, promoting the development of human resources, infrastructural renewal, and improving services for beneficiaries.
Representatives from legislative, executive, and partner local and international organizations also participated in the meeting.
