Group of civil initiatives of Khoni was actively involved in the campaign of 16 active days, organized by the fund “Sukhumi”. Leaders of the group conducted informational-educational meeting in Khoni library with pupils of upper grades of Khoni public school on December 6. They spoke about the reasons of violence, its social results, ways of prevention.

How to overcome the violence, where is the role of society – interesting discussion was held regarding these issues.

On December 3 celebrates international day of the people with disabilities. Mobilizer of Kutaisi WSC conducted the meeting in the day center “Valentine”.

Participants of the meeting heard information about a campaign of “16 active days against violence”, spoke about different types of violence. They noted that there is no reason, which can justify violence and expressed a will of active involvement of the psychologist in violence prevention.

Kutaisi and Tskaltubo women initiative groups of the fund “Sukhumi” were actively involved in the 16 day campaign. On their initiative of the group members there were held informational meetings in IDP collective centers. The population heard information regarding the issues of violence, about campaign. They were given informational leaflets, white ribbons, calendars. The members of the women initiative group consider that similar activities have important meaning in the informing and prevention of violence against women.

Women initiative group of Kutaisi conducted a performance “Pirimze” of the puppet theatre in the kindergarten “Stars”. The performance was made in frames of the project of Kutaisi GAC. It is a propaganda of friendship, love kindness, equality. The main character breaks existing stereotypes. The aim of the performance – formation of correct gender thinking among the children. The performance was devoted to 16 day campaign.
