In frames of 16 day campaign in the villages of Ozurgeti Municipality Dvabzu and Tskhemliskhidi, the members of gender advisory council organized informational meetings with the teachers and pupils. Then the young people conducted action and meetings with the village population, disseminated informational leaflets.

Mobilizers of the Women Support Centers conducted mobilization meetings with different groups in towns and villages in the municipalities of Kutaisi, Poti, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Khoni and Zugdidi.

The topic of the meeting mainly concerned gender violence. the participants were given information about a campaign of 16 active days against gender violence. different activities were planned.

Kutaisi WSC devoted a project to the campaign against gender violence, in frames of which there was taken a film – story. The film shows the work of WSC, about a problem of violence and ways of solution.

At the end of the project there was held a presentation, where the film-story was shown. There were invited the members of Gender Advisory Council, activists of the fund “Sukhumi”, representatives of partner NGOs and mass-media.

Active discussion showed actuality of the problem and a will of each person to do more for violence prevention. 

Khoni WSC, School No7 of Poti and school of village Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) – three more informational meetings were held in youth clubs.

The topic is actual and important: gender violence, reasons and mechanisms of prevention.

Meeting participants discussed the reasons of violence, spoke about mentality. One participant, whose mother is abroad, noted: "I can not understand father who does not work and always asks money from mother. We have repeatedly suggested him to go to work, and my mother would came home, but in vain ... I will do everything for not to live like this. My family - a lesson for me. "
