Within the 16 days campaign against gender violence on November 25, the Anti-Violence Network of Georgia presented the program fathers violence behavior and correction, aiming to correct the behavior of fathers and support to become as a supportive father. At the meeting, our representative - Linda Chikhladze, based on the findings of the monitoring report of the Women's Fund "Sukhumi" - “Importance of Behavior Change Programs of the Perpetrator at an Early Stage and Existing Best Practices", offered recommendations to the attendees about the importance of implementing the mentioned program at an early stage.
November 25 - Start of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence.
The Women Fund “Sukhumi” held a traditional silent action in Kutaisi. Thus, it joined the global campaign against gender-based violence with the slogan: Let’s Unite! Activity to End Violence Against Women and Girls”.
The action was attended by the staff of the Fund, representatives of partner organizations, civil activists and youth. Forum theater performances were presented and information booklets were distributed.
Starting today, more than 100 events will be held in the cities and villages of Georgia in the framework of the campaign.
The action was actively covered by central and regional mass media.

How to deal with stress? What can help us during stress?
Of course, the psychologist works with everyone individually, but these tips are useful for everyone:
Drink a cup of green tea.
Try to slowly count to 10 and then back, in order to calm down.
Eat chocolate.
Try aromatherapy.
Sometimes writing down your emotions on paper can make them less scary.
Give yourself a hand massage.
One of the ways to avoid stress is to comb your hair for 10-15 minutes.
Delicious food is an effective anti-stress measure.
Teachers participate in many trainings, but this was an unusual training where together with actual issues (femicide, violence, holding campaign), they talked about the necessary skills for a trainer.
The training was attended by teachers from all schools in Senaki municipality. The idea of holding such event appeared at the last meeting of Senaki Interdepartmental Council - the idea was actively supported by the Educational Resource Center (Chairperson - Darejan Zarandia). The training was held in the hall of the resource center and was of great interest to the participants.
The main result of the training will be that these teachers will actively join the International Campaign "16 Active Days Against Gender-based Violence" - they will hold meetings and various events.

The meeting was chaired by Tinatin Nibloshvili, head of the Gender Equality Council of Tbilisi Municipality. The meeting was attended by Nino Burdzenidze, adviser to the city mayor on gender issues, Indira Robakidze - head of the Tbilisi Crisis Center, Ana Margiani - representative of the Academy of the Ministry of Finance, Sophia Chokheli - representative of the Human Rights Protection and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anna Lobzhanidze - representative of the Office of the Public Defender of Georgia.
Council members and invited guests talked about the five main goals of the action plan project, goals, objectives and forms of activities to be implemented.
Samtredia municipality is in the process of forming a Department for the Protection of Children's rights and their support. Therefore, representatives of the Children's Departments of Senaki, Lanchkhuti, Khoni, Tskhaltubo and Bagdati municipalities were invited to the information meeting in Samtredia. The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Mayor of Samtredia Municipality Vladimir Zakradze, Deputy Chairman of the City Council Natia Papava, representatives of the administrative units and public officials.

The advocacy group held an information meeting in the village Rokhi (Bagdati municipality), which was attended by school teachers, kindergarten teachers and high school students, members of the inter-department commission, employees of the City Hall Department for Children's Rights Protection and Support.
The participants received information about the establishment, structure, rights and duties of the inter-department commission working on issues of violence against women and domestic violence. The participants were also introduced to the structure of the Department for Children's Rights Protection and Support and the results of the monitoring of its work. Participants noted that they already know when to address this department.

A meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Elimination of Violence against Women was held in Senaki City Hall meeting room. The meeting was attended by members of the commission, as well as representatives of the City Council, schools and the Women Fund “Sukhumi”.
After reviewing specific cases, the participants of the meeting discussed the issues of violence prevention, protection of victims and cooperation with local government agencies.
The interdepartmental commission decided to join the annual 16-day information campaign against gender-based violence.

On October 6-9, the feminist forum "Body and Environment: Feminist Ideas and Practices of Organizing Care, Resistance, and Solidarity" was held.
During four days, together with queer and feminist activists, researchers, and forum participants, Representatives of Women's Fund "Sukhumi" - Nino Korinteli and Linda Chikhladze were involved in a process to created a safe space for the exchange and discussion of interdisciplinary, local, and regional knowledge and experiences.
Together with the WISG team, we also hope that these inspiring days will certainly lay the foundation for new opportunities for thinking, working, and collaborating. Among them, is to continue the forum's tradition of creating and transforming new spaces for queer feminist imagination, knowledge, and practice.
