In August, as planned, the Forum Theatre held meetings with the audience. One meeting was held in the small hall of Kutaisi Lado Meskhishvili State Drama Theater and the other - in the central parks of the city.
The audience noted that the performances are interesting, and topical issues are shown in a good format. However, they rarely participate in discussions.

A meeting of a round table format was held in the hall of Samtredia Educational Resource Center.
A lawyer of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" spoke about national referral procedures for the identification of the victims of violence against women and/or domestic violence, their protection, assistance and rehabilitation.
Meeting participants received information about the important role and positive impact of non-governmental organizations, and also they got acquainted with the services of our organization.

A meeting with 10 women was held within the framework of the project “IDP Women and Girls - actors in developing local policies focused on Kutaisi needs” (Nikea Street, 1st Lane No. 13).
Liya Goletiani, a member of the Women Initiative Group, shared her experience in advocacy issues and called on the IDPs to increase their civic responsibility.
The participants of the meeting drew attention to the following needs: sports ground, roof painting and repair, repair of wooden chairs. Letters on the above mentioned issues are being prepared and will be submitted to Kutaisi Municipality City Hall on behalf of the initiative group.

The meeting of Kutaisi Women Initiative Group was held online. The group unites residents of four IDP communities, so they presented four initiatives.
The group members have already studied the problems of their communities and ranked them. The civil initiatives will soon be implemented in all four communities, which will improve the condition of the IDPs.

Active members of Zugdidi Women Initiative Group studied the problems in their community, prioritized them and started to implement civil initiatives. This is what was discussed at the ordinary meeting of the initiative group, which was held online.

On July 21-23, an international training for members of the Women Fund “Sukhumi” working groups and a partner organization was held in Istanbul. Topic of the meeting was: Methodology and practice of Gender Impact Analysis (GIA). The training was conducted by international trainer Blerina Khani.
Participants received the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct a gender analysis of the problems they selected. They got acquainted with the practices of different countries, including Georgia, in terms of studying the gender impact of programs/projects.
According to the project, the training will be followed by a research, which will be conducted by the working groups. The topic of the research is to study the gender impact of individual components of preschool and primary education programs and prepare relevant reports.

The Women Fund “Sukhumi” has prepared and published the "Annual Report 2023". As mentioned in the introduction, in 2023 we implemented 12 projects aimed at women’s well-being.
Project: “Strengthening of Women’s Rights in Western Georgia” - Women Support Centers and Youth Empowerment Centers in 10 municipalities, rehabilitation center in Kutaisi, day rehabilitation centers, forum theater, monitoring and advocacy (with the support of the organization Brot für die Welt – Germany)
The project “Digital Resource Centre for Victims of Violence” - women's mutual assistance groups in 10 municipalities, the web page “Digital Resource Centre for Victims of Violence (with the support of the Gender Equality Fund - Canada).
The project “Bridging the Gap: People-to-People Initiatives for Conflict Resolution” – work with women and youth, medical and economic components (with the support of USAID and in partnership with the Association “Peaceful and Business Caucasus”).
The project “Strengthening the Women’s Voices” informational work on the important role of civil society organizations, in particular the Women Fund “Sukhumi” (with the support of the Urgent Action Fund For the Protection of Women’s Rights).
During the traditional meeting in July the members of Kutaisi Youth Club discussed the details of the project -"Youth for Peace". They shared their experiences within the project, discussed the achieved results, and ways to solve the problems and challenges within the frames of the project. The leader of the club introduced the members to the final results of the project. At the meeting, they also talked about the activities to be implemented in the future. Kutaisi Youth Club implemented the project "Youth for Peace" financed by USAID within the framework of a small grant competition in the period of May-June of the current year. The members of Kutaisi Women Initiative Group talked about the development of the advocacy plan. Rights, duties and responsibilities were distributed. Members of the group will hold information meetings and talk about the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol.
At the meeting held in July with the members of Khoni Youth Club, the participants talked about the completed project and challenges, as well as the achievements they faced during the implementation of the project. The meeting was hosted by Khoni public school N 3. The members of the first women initiative group discussed the problem selected for the advocacy process and distributed the rights and responsibilities. They will work in the direction of ecology and mental health. The members of the second women initiative group talked about the advocacy plan and distributed the rights, duties and responsibilities. The women will hold informational meetings and talk to young people about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
The members of the women initiative group of the village of Pakhulani - Tsalenjikha municipality talked about the resolution of the issues that were identified as a result of the research. They noted that the activities planned according to the advocacy plan are successfully implemented, which is important in the process of problem solution.
