Independence Day of Ukraine in Tbilisi was celebrated with a march with participation of Ukrainians. The national anthem of Ukraine was played on the city streets, and the participants held a symbolic flag of 32 meters long in their hands, because Independent Ukraine is 32 years old.
The main day of Ukraine was also celebrated in Kutaisi. Our organization included Ukrainian beneficiaries in the action of solidarity organized by our fellow citizens. The event was held on the White Bridge.
For the second time Ukraine and Ukrainians living in different countries celebrate Independence Day in conditions of war with Russia expressing great love towards their country, with desire and hope to return home.

Tsalenjikha mutual support group identified problems, intends to solve them, and started communication with the social agency.
The Zugdidi mutual support group meets in the village Koki, and the group consists mainly of women from this village. From September, vulnerable groups from different villages will join the group. Representative of local government will attend the meetings - this will facilitate cooperation with government agencies and the advocacy process.
In August, online meetings were held with groups from Tsalenjikha and Zugdidi. Psychologist of the Women Fund “Sukhumi” also took part in the meeting with the Zugdidi group.
From September, greater activity is expected in both groups, which means working on problem solution.

Tskaltubo Women Initiative Group actively holds meetings with representatives of IDP communities in order to advocate issues that are important to them.
For the given moment, the group is working on the problem of stray dogs on Abkhazeti street. On the basis of the response received from the local authorities, they look for the ways to solve the problem.
The initiative group often organizes the cleaning of the territory of the settlement from weeds. In August, sewer wells were also cleaned, the adjacent territory, buildings and basements were also cleaned with special sprays.

The psychologist of the Fund "Sukhumi" visited the Women Support Centers in Vani, Kobuleti and Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha municipality). The target groups of the meeting were women of different categories. Three meetings were held in a group format on the topic "Aggression and violence in the family." The participants spoke about the reasons and consequences of aggression in the family. Also about measures that can reduce aggression.
Two meetings were individual and were devoted to fears and phobias. Participants were given advice on how to overcome their fears.

The members of the women initiative group of the village Pakhulani - Tsalenjikha Municipality discussed the issue of advocacy along with summarizing the year and setting future plans. According to the advocacy plan, September activities were scheduled.
Kutaisi Women Initiative Group did not stop the advocacy process even in Summer. the According to the identified problems, letters addressed to the Mayor of Kutaisi and the Chairman of Kutaisi Gender Equality Council were prepared.
At the ordinary meeting in August, the members of the initiative group spoke about the planned activities to be held in September. The group is also actively working to identify problems that the IDP community faces, and these problems outlined in future plans.

During the information meeting in Vani City Council was attended by the heads of the kindergarten association, the administration, city kindergarten managers, teachers, psychologists, methodologists, members of the Gender Council and representatives of the City Hall – totally 25 participants.

Kutaisi Youth Club held another online meeting. The leader of the club showed 2 presentations on the topic "August 12 - International Youth Day". The participants learned when and why the Youth Day was established, as well as learned about successful young people in the world. During the meeting, they talked about the challenges and needs in the city. The members of the Women Initiative Group evaluated the annual work and talked about the future prospects.
Terjola Municipal Center for Youth and Students, organized a meeting of the advocacy group of the Women Fund "Sukhumi", which was attended by women from local community. They were provided with information on the results of the monitoring “Assessment of Effectiveness of the Municipalities’ Preventive Measures to Combat Violence Against Women/Domestic Violence” conducted by our organization.
Emphasis was placed on the important tasks outlined in the document, which will improve the work of local governments, schools and kindergartens in the process of violence prevention.
Participants also received information about the program of the City hall Department for the Protection of Children's Rights about the services beneficiaries can use.
