Meetings - in this category there is an information about meetings in frames of Fund “Sukhumi” projects - meetings with beneficiaries, representatives of state structures, local and international non-governmental organizations.

The fund “Sukhumi” organized round table in the City Hall of Kutaisi, which was attended by the members of Sakrebulo, representatives of law protecting structures and NGOs, lawyers, psychologists, social workers, teachers, journalists – people, who have direct contact with the problem of domestic violence.
Active discussion was held regarding changes, prepared by the national network of Protection from Violence for introduction in the organic law of Georgia "Code on local government" and in the Law of Georgia "On Combating Domestic Violence, the protection of victims of domestic violence and their care".
The meetings was led by representatives of national network of Protection from Violence. There were fixed: experience of participants, their attitude to the problems, concrete examples and general opinion: local self-government should be involved in the process of violence prevention and victim protection. It is very important for solution of this actual issue.

To ensure the inclusion of local government in the eventsagainst domestic violence, National Network of Protection from Violence prepared changes in the organic law of Georgia "Code on local government" and in the Law of Georgia "On Combating Domestic Violence, the protection of victims of domestic violence and their care".
On October 28, fund "Sukhumi" organized civic debate where women activists got familiar with the draft laws. They noted that the inclusion of local governments in the prevention of domestic violence and protection of victims is important, because the local authority has information about local needs.

In the second half of October there were carried out psychological group meetings in 5 collective centers of Kutaisi with participation of 42 women aged from 23 to 65. Among them, 4 womenattended the meeting for the first time. Individual consultations were held on the problems of conflict. The main topic of the meeting - conversation about the family crisis and ways to overcome them.
One of the participants noted that the meeting is an opportunity to talk heart to heart, have a cup of coffee, apart from pressing problems. This is a reminder that the woman has the right to think about peace of mind and soul for the welfare of the family.

Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council met the deputies of the municipality and the teachers and pupils of the schools, where there is being implemented the project funded by local self-government: “Youth for Promotion of Gender Policy”.
The teachers positively evaluated the project. The conversation touched its importance, the fact that the youth have opportunity to receive informal education in the issues of gender and become more active.
The school representatives were given information regarding the campaign of 16 active days against violence towards the women. They expressed a will to participate in the campaign.
The same day there was held a meeting with the group, which works on the issues of integrity of gender issues elaborated by the council in 2016 budget. It was mentioned that in comparison with the previous years there is mopre readiness from the side of local self-government in this direction.

The projectof the fund “Sukhumi” funded by Czech NGO “IndependentSocial-economical movement” “Nesehnuti”, was finished. Summarizing round table was very interesting, attended by representatives of “Kutaisi Kindergarten Unity”, managers of kindergartens, teachers and members of Sakrebulo, GAC the Club of Voter Women.
The attendants were given information regarding project activities: informational meetings in kindergartens, meetings with, meetings with parliament member – GubazSanikidze and the Mayor – Shota Murgulia, radio and TV programs. They were familiarized with gender policy elaborated by Gender Advisory Council. There were suggestions and recommendations addressing local self-government.
According to participants, each recommendation, which will be envisaged in the next year budget, will be a step forward.

Mobilizers of WSCs conducted 33 mobilization meetings in municipalities of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Zugdidi – in collective centers and villages. Along with other issues, the meetings discussed problems of women and girls residing in the villages.
In October, WSCs organized 6 informational with representatives of local elf-government of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Zugdidi mainly in social services as well as in the City Hall.

Chairperson of the fund “Sukhumi” – Alla Gamakharia met the mayor of Kutaisi – Shota Murgulia.
Gender policy on the local level, violence against women, social issues – the conversation regarding these questions lasted for an hour.
- We all work for living better, to promote formation of such society, which will have equality, right of choice, without violence against women – was mentioned during the meeting.
The Mayor mentioned that he will support establishment of gender policy on the local level. According to him, it is necessary to have joint projects, activities, educational programs, for giving the society correct information regarding gender equality. The meeting defined prospects of future cooperation with local governmental structures.

Concrete example was given during of meeting of Senaki Voter Women Club – the young widow, with two children was left without social allowance with no reasons.
This and many other questions werte discussed by the club members and the guests – chairperson of the social service – Irma Murgulia and the main specialist – ninoZhvania.
Club members were interested in many issues and received interesting and necessary information.
As for the young lady, her case will be revised and solved in near time.

Gender policy plan of Kutaisi GAC, was sent to the City Hall of Kutaisi for discussion. The letter was soon reacted. Council members met the chairperson of administrative service of the City Hall – ZviadJavakhia and his deputy – PikriaKhachapuridze. During the meeting, each recommendations were discussed. Representatives of local government expressed full support to the presented document. According to them consultations with different services will be continued, in order to reflect gender components in local budget of the next year.
Ordinary meeting of Gender Advisory Council began with the analysis of this meeting. The meeting was attended by PikriaKhachapuridze, who became the member of council and will officially take the position of gender advisor.
By the opinion of council members, started work should be continued effectively.

The Club of Voter Women of Kutaisi often has the guests, who discuss actual issues. This time there were invited the chairperson of Kutaisi social service – Nino Chigladze and her deputy Lela Khurtsidze. The club several times raised the issue regarding social scores. Representatives of the agency gave full and detail information and answered the questions.
