Meetings - in this category there is an information about meetings in frames of Fund “Sukhumi” projects - meetings with beneficiaries, representatives of state structures, local and international non-governmental organizations.
In Khoni settlement for IDPs, a survey was conducted to study their attitude to the reform of the allowance for IDPs.
Out of the 50 respondents, only a small part considers it necessary to carry out the reform. Everyone negatively evaluates the fact that prior to the drafting of the reform, there was no study of their needs.
Most respondents note that the allowance (45 GEL) is important for them, and the implementation of the reform will worsen their already difficult social and economic situation.

The Women's Initiative Group gathered in Kutaisi. Participants of the meeting listened with interest to information about the work of the Women's Initiative Group of Tskaltubo and Khoni.
According to the members of the group, the population does not know whom to address, how to solve different problems, does not have information about local programs. envisaging all this, the Initiative Group assists local groups to reduce the risks that are associated with human security.
On April 6 in Tskaltubo there gathered women initiative group. The meeting participants heard information about a work, experience and achievements of the groups from other cities. Their comments identified that it is important for them to be aware of what is happening in Khoni and Kutaisi in order to reduce risks and achieve security so that they also use the experience of their colleagues in their work.
The women's initiative group of Tskaltubo is currently working on a new problem, which concerns the rehabilitation of the water pipe of the collective center of the hotel “Merani”. The moderator analyzed the process of advocacy and for its acceleration the members of the group prepared letters to various structures.
The spring in society is associated with women celebrations. Women Support Centers of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti, khurcha/koki (Zugdidi municipality), traditionally conducted a weekly of women solidarity. 33 mobilization meetings and 6 round tables with participation of representatives of local government.
During these meetings there was a conversation about women movement, successful women, Georgian roots of gender equality, family traditions. It was underlined the importance of women political activism in Georgia.
Members of the Women's Initiative Group gathered in the meeting room of Khoni Sakrebulo. They discussed the situation in local communities in terms of human security and identified issues for advocacy.
At the meeting it was noted that the search for donor organizations is necessary to solve the problem. They fixed the idea, planned to develop it in the form of a project and send to the donor organization Orbeliani Georgia, which announced a competition.
The fund "Sukhumi" gathered Kutaisi Women's Initiative Group, which analyzed the advocacy process taking into account the inclusive approaches to human security.
Based on the work plan, the group is working on a new problem to protect cultural security. The advocacy process has already begun. The participants developed official letters and sent them to different structures. They identified those people who would support, and also talked about the risks that could arise during work.
In the format of the round table, there was held a presentation of expert research in Tbilisi. It was attended by the chairperson of the fund “Sukhumi” Alla Gamakharia. The presentation was attended by the members of government of Abkhazian Autonomous Republic, international organizations and NGOs.
An expert research on the accessibility of social services commissioned by the Czech non-profit organization PeopleInNeed was carried out in the municipalities of Khoni, Tkibuli, Gori and Zugdidi.
The presentation touched upon the review of the system of social services and challenges both at the central and local levels. The meeting briefly reviewed the draft reform on IDPs, highlighted the positive and negative aspects of the reform.

On March 6 in Tskaltubo there gathered the members of women initiative group. Participants of the meetings discussed the advocacy plan and accordingly planned new activities.
For the effectiveness of advocacy process, they decided to meet the local government, gender council. With the aim of lobbying in the process there will be involved majoritarian candidate – the plan also envisages the meeting with him.
In February, during the mobilization meetings there was discussion about a document of reform regarding IDP allowance, which is still in process of discussion.
The meetings were held in Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Zugdidi.
According to IDPs, it is necessary to discuss the types of reform and define concrete steps. During discussions on actual issues, there were mentioned the needs of IDPs and suggestions, which were familiarized to representatives of the Ministry of IDPs and resettlement by the fund “Sukhumi” during the informational meetings in Kutaisi and Tbilisi.
There are different opinions in society regarding the reform of IDP allowance. This issues was discussed during the informational meeting in Khoni, IDP settlement. Meeting participants received information about reform, about changes. They elaborated several recommendations, which will be raised in the Ministry for IDPs and resettlement.
