Meetings - in this category there is an information about meetings in frames of Fund “Sukhumi” projects - meetings with beneficiaries, representatives of state structures, local and international non-governmental organizations.
In Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskhaltubo, Senaki, Poti and in the villages of Zugdidi Municipality - Khurcha and Koki there were held mobilization and informational meetings.
At the meetings there were discussed actual issues for local and displaced women issues were discussed. But one of the main topics was - International Day of Peace. The participants were informed about the importance of this day, events were planned, including the lessons in peace in schools.
The Khoni Sakrebulo held a regular meeting of the Council of Advisers. The theme of the meeting - discussion of strategy of social inclusion of and distribution if the issues for the work on the document, where Fund "Sukhumi" is included.
The Council once again discussed the strategic plans and objectives that will contribute to the improvement of social services in the municipality. We highlight the needs of vulnerable groups and the question of resources required for their solutions.

On August 25, there was held a meeting of Kutaisi GAC. According the project, this is the last meeting of the GAC members. The participants spoke about the results of three year work. According their evaluation, the GAC made important share in formation of local gender policy. But there is still a question support of women and the growth of their number at local political level.
The GAC members consider that it is essential to keep the resource and experience, which exists at the given moment. In order to strengthen the gender policy, they consider it important to form gender council at Sakrebulo and continuation of the work in this direction.
Khoni is the third city after Kutaisi and Tskaltubo, where the women initiative groups were created. They were chosen from work-shops, conducted on the issue of human security. The participants filled in special blanks, where they fixed motivation, why do they want to be in the initiative group.
In this group there are 6 women with the skills of communication and experience of the work on problems.
The members of initiative group of all three cities will have special training, after which work of problem advocacy will be continued.
On August 12, of 2000 the civilized world celebrated the International Youth Day for the first time. To this day there were dedicated mobilization meetings of Women Support Centers of the fund "Sukhumi" – in Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskhaltubo, Senaki, Poti and in the villages of Zugdidi Municipality - Khurcha and Koki. The meeting participants talked about the problems of youth, about the relationship between the generations.
This year, the Youth Department conducted various activities to mark the International Youth Day. Participants of the mobilization meeting noted that such events are important for the region's youth.
The project of Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council (GAC) "Formation of gender awareness among children of preschool age" is at the next stage.
The purpose of the project - to promote non-violent upbringing of gender-sensitive generation.
In frames of the project shadow theater played a performance by the scenario "Girls of the emerald country".
Performance professes love, friendship, patriotism, equality. The main character - a girl Pirimze - tries to return to her country, where all are equal and respect each other's capabilities.
Performance destroys social stereotype in terms of equality. The first performance was attended by representatives of Fund "Sukhumi", members of the GAC.
According the plan, performances will be held in Kutaisi, Khoni and Tskaltubo.
Meeting discussed the processes, which are planned for creation of gender councils on the basis of local self-government.
It is already started a work in this direction. The issue will be submitted to the meeting of Ozurgeti Sakrebulo, after that there will be discussed establishment of gender councellor position for the budget of the next year. The local government actively cooperates with the GAC in this direction.
It was decided that the GAC will familiarize all commissions with budget gender analysis, prepared by them. For this special meetings are appointed.
In Kutaisi there was formatted women initiative group. It is composed by active women with leader skills. One of them is organizer, who will lead the work of the group.
Group members – activists of the fund “Sukhumi”, who participated in activities of different format. They passed workshops on the issues of human security. The group members have the experience of advocacy. They have a desire to work more in this direction in future – help themselves and others in solution of the problem, existing in the society.
There started the next phase of the project "Women implementing inclusive approaches in the field of human security to build a sustainable world." After workshops on the theme of human security in Tskhaltubo, Kutaisi and Khoni there were created initiative groups of women.
Tskhaltubo initiative group consists of 6 women. Each of them is selected by a special survey. In one of the paragraphs of the questionnaire, why you want to become a member of the initiative group, the activists wrote that around them there are lots of problems that can be solved at the local level, and they want to be actively involved in the process of advocacy of these issues.
Members of the initiative group will have a special training, after which they will be included in advocacy of the issues.
Despite hot summer days, WSCs of Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, khoni, Senaki, Poti, Khurcha/Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) continue informational-mobilization meetings with beneficiaries. In July, the topic of the meeting was protective and arresting order, as the mechanism of victim protection.
The meetings mainly were held in collective centers, villages also with local population. There were discussions and questions, which were answered by the mobilizers.
