Meetings - in this category there is an information about meetings in frames of Fund “Sukhumi” projects - meetings with beneficiaries, representatives of state structures, local and international non-governmental organizations.
In Kutaisi, Khoni and Tskaltubo there were held meetings of women initiative groups. The groups discussed the plans of advocacy. They received consultations – what steps should they go, whom to address, how to find followers during the work on concrete problems. They jointly worked on deadlines, in what period should be the advocacy process completed.
The members of women initiative groups also scheduled the plan, functions and responsibility of each member. The participants mention that information received during the training helped them to correctly carry out advocacy process.
On the International Day of Rural Women on October 17 in the village of Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) Women's Support Center of Khurcha / Koki organized a meeting with rural women. The meeting discussed the situation in the village, problems of women, the work of the Women's Support Center.
At the meeting there was invited the Specialist from Kutaisi - a reproductive gynecologist Lorita Mikava. She told the participants about the problems and diseases of women of all ages, about the importance of annual surveys, about existing free surveys.
Participants had the opportunity to talk individually with a specialist and get answers from her.
Women Support Center started to work on a project, funded by the fund “Sukhumi” – “Youth against violence towards the women”. The project was implemented in two villages of the municipality – Nosiri and Dzveli Senaki.
In frames of the project there were held informational meetings with representatives of administration of local government (governor), in educational resource-center, with directors of schools and young people. Meeting participants received information about a project and planned activities.
Mobilizers of the Women Support Centers conducted traditional monthly mobilization meetings in Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Poti, Senaki and villages of Zugdidi municipality – Koki and Khurcha.
As there is celebrated international day of rural women in October, the topic of the meetings was defined by this date. The meetings were devoted to women’s rights, their problems and ways of solution.
In Kutaisi fund “Sukhumi” there was held consultative meeting of the leaders of women initiative groups of Khoni, Kutaisi and Tskaltubo. Participants familiarized with their functions, rights and responsibilities, they spoke about future plans. Leaders of the group agreed to present detail plan and schedule of advocacy.
Advocacy plans will be discussed at meetings with the members of initiative groups, which will be held in all tree cities.
In connection with the International Day of girls, the representatives of the organization “Iner Georgia” by the invitation of Fund" Sukhumi "conducted informational meeting.
The meeting was attended by 21 girls from 13 to 21 years old. For them, an interesting film on the theme of reproductology was shown. Active discussion was held. There were questions and answers, talk about the negative consequences of early marriage. The girls expressed their desire to meet and discuss topical issues again.
Mobilizers of the Women Support Centers of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Khurcha/Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) gathered in the office of the fund “Sukhumi”. They made short reports of the held work. Coordinator analyzed the reports, made accents on basic gaps. There were discussed the examples of successful reports.
Mobilizers also spoke about the problems and future plans. Chairperson of the fund familiarized them with the information about the following phase of funding of small projects of the women support centers. Duration of the project – I month, main directions – prevention of violence and protection of victim. The activities should be held in frames of campaign of “16 active days against violence towards the women”.
In Khoni Sakrebulo during ordinary meeting of the advisors’ council there was discussed working variant of the document for social inclusion strategy. The council members once again stopped on strategic goals and aims of social policy of the municipality regarding existing challenges, in order not to be left without attention the needs of the most vulnerable groups of citizens.
Once again was mentioned the need of social care policy regarding the persons with disabilities, creation of positive social area for the elderly, also important issues for the IDPs. (opening of ambulance in the village, listing of toddlers in the kindergartens. )

In Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskhaltubo, Senaki, Poti and in the villages of Zugdidi Municipality - Khurcha and Koki there were held mobilization and informational meetings.
At the meetings there were discussed actual issues for local and displaced women issues were discussed. But one of the main topics was - International Day of Peace. The participants were informed about the importance of this day, events were planned, including the lessons in peace in schools.
The Khoni Sakrebulo held a regular meeting of the Council of Advisers. The theme of the meeting - discussion of strategy of social inclusion of and distribution if the issues for the work on the document, where Fund "Sukhumi" is included.
The Council once again discussed the strategic plans and objectives that will contribute to the improvement of social services in the municipality. We highlight the needs of vulnerable groups and the question of resources required for their solutions.
