Women Support Centers (530)
Women Support Center these are the branches of the Fund “Sukhumi” in Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Terjola, Senaki, Poti, Khurcha / Koki (Zugdidi Municipality), Lanchkhuti, Ozurgeti, created since 2009. The centers are designed to strengthen women, provide social, psychological, legal assistance to women - victims of violence and to crisis families in a difficult life situation. They promote to the protection of women's rights and ensure their socio-psychological rehabilitation.
12 psychological group and 3 individual consultative meetings were held in 12 IDP collective centers of Kutaisi.
How to overcome the feeling of despair, panic and despair - this was the main topic of conversation.
It was noted: everything changes in the world. People are born and die, get divorced and marry. Everything can happen in life. Emptiness in the soul needs to be filled. Then the world will shine with interesting colors, and the soul with harmony.
Free legal consultations and informational meetings were held in Women Support Centers of Kutaisi, Khoni, tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and khurcha (Zugdidi Municipality).
Participants were given information of different types: law on domestic violence, legal mechanisms of victim protection, legal co of giving accommodation, mortgage and related questions, the universal right to education, the rights of students.
Many participants received individual consultation that will help to solve their personal problems.
The risk of suicide in non-violent environment, prevention of suicide – consultations of the psychologist in WSCs of Poti, Khoni and Tskhaltubo were devoted to this. There was talk about the causes of violence, cases of suicide. It was a practical part of the prevention of suicide, when it is necessary to contact a psychologist or a psychiatrist, what to do in case of psychological problems, to avoid the danger.
In the Women Support Centres of Kutaisi, Senaki and Khurcha (Zugdidi Municipality) psychological group consultations were held with participation of 29 women.
The main topic of these meetings were discussions on the theme of hopelessness. Hopelessness - it's not lack of the way out but lack of knowledge of his locations.
It is believed that each situation has the way out. As the psychologist explained, hopelessness - is a dead end to which we are self-driven. We need to know that everything is in our hands, not to lose hope in life and it is filled with meaning, success and happiness.
Round Kutaisi, in places of IDP compact resettlement, 11 psychological meetings were held in January on: overcoming negative emotions and stress factors.
Also there were held 5 individual consultative meetings regarding a problem of family crisis.
The meetings were attended by 75 women at age of 19-67 years old, among them 11 women participated for the first time.
Discussed issues were important for each of them, as preventive ways of domestic violence.
In January in Women Support Centers of Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Poti, Senaki and Khurcha (Zugdidi Municipality), legal informational-consultative meetings were held. The meeting participants were presented the consultations of different issues: diverce, alimony, the issues connected with credit, mechanisms of combating domestic violence and its prevention, purchasing immovable property and its registration, changes in the law in social direction.
The psychological meetings in Tskhaltubo, Poti and village Ivandidi (Khoni Municipality) were attended by 3 people.
The main topic of the meeting - the risk of suicide in a violent environment, traces of trauma and suicide prevention. A goal - to educate women to avoid fatal results of violence.
The phrases "I'm tired, I do not want to live, to commit suicide and see what happens to you" - passive thoughts which are unconscious signals of people claiming salvation, and therefore they should not be left unattended.
The meetings were held in an interactive format. The topic appeared interesting and important for all participants. Especially in Ivandidi, since the villagers had the sad experience of suicide in rural areas.
Psychological group and individual meetings were held in the Women Support Centers of Kutaisi, Khurch, Senaki, attended by 36 women at the age of 25-65. The main topic of these meetings were: overcoming and control of negative emotions and stress factors, which is one of the main preventive measures of domestic violence – in order to give the IDP women possibility to create conditions for controlling negative emotions and develop awareness, impact and change negative emotions, with the help of breath examinations and meditation.
